We want everyone to be able to learn to dance with us and come to the parties. This statement describes the accessibility of this site and of the places where we meet, including what is not finished yet.
Status. We built this site under regulation 35 of Israel's Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013, and Israeli Standard 5568, which is based on WCAG 2.1 level AA. No audit by a certified accessibility auditor has been carried out yet, so we do not claim full compliance.
What the site has
- A clear heading structure and markup that allows screen reader navigation.
- A "skip to content" link at the top of every page.
- All menus, links and forms work with a keyboard, and keyboard focus is clearly visible.
- The page language and text direction are set on every page: Hebrew right to left, English left to right.
- Text and background contrast was checked against the AA threshold for every colour on the site.
- Every form field has a label, and errors are shown as text next to the field.
- Images that carry information have alternative text. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- No video or sound plays by itself, and nothing flashes.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, the site shows no animated transitions.
- The site works on phones, and text can be enlarged in the browser.
What is not finished
- A full audit by a certified accessibility auditor has not been carried out yet.
- Photos added to the site will get alternative text when they are uploaded. We check this at every update.
- The shop where you pay, the app and the UNO festival site are separate sites with their own accessibility statements.
Accessibility of our venues
Courses and parties take place at different places in the north, and the Friday party moves from place to place. Each venue is responsible for its own accessibility arrangements, and we will publish them here for every venue that is set. Until then, if physical access matters to you, contact us before you come and we will check with the venue.
Adjustments in the activity
Partner dancing is physical activity. If you have a condition that may affect taking part, tell us in advance. We will see what adjustment we can offer and tell you honestly whether we can.
